We don’t experience life in isolation. The relationships we have with ourselves and with the people around us shape how we understand the world, respond to challenges, and make sense of our experiences. Sometimes, the patterns that once helped us navigate life can begin to leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, or misunderstood.
Therapy can be a space to slow down and make sense of those patterns. Together, we can explore what’s happening beneath the surface, understand how your relationships are influencing your experiences, and find new ways of relating to yourself and the people who matter most.
Connected to ourselves. Connected to each other
Individual pieces. Part of something bigger
A clementine is made up of individual segments, each with its own shape and place, while still being connected to the whole. I see people and relationships in much the same way. We each have our own experiences, emotions, needs, and stories, but we are also shaped by the relationships and environments we are part of.
Clementine Relational Therapy is grounded in the belief that looking at the whole picture can help us better understand what is happening. Whether I’m working with an individual, couple, or family, therapy is a space to explore the connections between our experiences, our patterns, and our relationships with curiosity and compassion.
Meet Elena, MFTC
Hi, I'm Elena (she/her).
I don't think you need to walk into therapy with a perfectly organized explanation of what's wrong. Most of us aren't that organized in the first place. You might know you're unhappy, feel stuck in the same argument with your partner, notice yourself reacting in ways you don't quite understand, or simply have a sense that something needs to change. We can start there.
I'm a relational therapist, which means I'm interested in the bigger picture. What you've been through matters. The relationships you're in matter. The patterns you find yourself repeating matter. And so does the way you experience all of it. I'm not here to sit back and quietly nod while you talk for 50 minutes. I want therapy to feel like a genuine conversation where we can be curious together, make connections, laugh when it makes sense, and get honest when something isn't working.
I work with individuals, couples, and families, and I especially enjoy working with the messy, complicated parts of being human. My style is warm and collaborative, but I'll also challenge you when I think there's something worth looking at. Therapy doesn't have to be stiff or overly clinical to be meaningful. You can be yourself here, swear if you need to, and bring the complicated stuff with you.
When I'm not doing therapy, you'll probably find me crafting something, baking something, watching an embarrassing amount of TV, or spending time with the people and animals I love. I'm a big believer that life is allowed to contain both hard things and really good things, and I think therapy can make room for both.
Services
Individual therapy offers a space to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and better understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we can explore anxiety, depression, relationships, life transitions, identity, and other challenges while working toward greater self-understanding and meaningful change.
Couples therapy can be a space to work through conflict, improve communication, improve intimacy, and better understand the patterns that can leave partners feeling disconnected or stuck. We'll explore each person's experience while working toward greater connection, understanding, and a relationship that feels more secure and fulfilling.
Family therapy creates space to slow down difficult patterns, improve communication, and better understand one another's experiences. Together, we'll work toward greater connection and flexibility while making room for each person's needs, perspective, and role within the family.
Sessions are typically 50 minutes, with extended sessions available upon request. I also reserve a limited number of sliding-scale spots for clients who may benefit from a reduced rate. If you're interested, feel free to reach out and ask about availability.
